Senior Shar Pei dumped by his family on the 4th of July

A senior Shar Pei, named Butter, was surrendered by his family to the Carson Animal Shelter on the 4th of July. The family gave no reason as to why they no longer wanted Butter in their family. Maybe it was their 4th of July celebration “gift” to him for all the years of faithful companionship and loyalty he had given them.

They told the shelter that he is fine with other dogs, is good on the leash and had some training. Although he lived outside, the family said he is housebroken.
