Dallas, TX – A puppy that was part of a litter of 11 was born with what appears to be a “perfectly manicured handlebar mustache,” as described by a CBS Miami newscaster. This puppy is so unique looking that she has been trending across the Internet.
Hearts & Bones Rescue, based in both Dallas, TX, and New York City, NY, chose the perfect name for the puppy: Salvadore Dolly, after Salvador Dalí, a “Spanish Surrealist painter and printmaker, influential for his explorations of subconscious imagery,” and who was known for his impeccably waxed mustache, according to Encyclopaedia Britannica. Dalí died on Jan. 23, 1989.

Mama and her 11 puppies — still just 5 weeks old — left the shelter on Monday and were taken to a temporary foster home where they will stay for a few weeks until they are transported to New York City and adopted out to loving families.
When volunteers of Hearts and Homes Rescues picked up mama and the puppies from the shelter, each was sporting a fake mustache.
Although Salvadore Dolly is not Salvador Dali’s pet, many pets resemble their humans, like those you see below, and discussed in an article published by Bark Post, entitled Here’s Why You And Your Dog Look So Much Alike.
