Geriatric girl in so much pain it hurts to lay down

Los Angeles, Calif. – A female old-timer was captured on video by Denise Santiago Jones, who travels to the shelter several times a week to help save animals who wait and languish at the North Central Animal Shelter in Los Angeles, Calif.

While walking the shelter’s aisles on April 27, she came upon a pitiful-looking dog. The look of pain in the girl’s pleading eyes clouded over with old age pulled at Jones’ heartstrings. This senior is precisely the kind of dog who has little to no chance of making it out of the shelter alive without exposure. Jones videotaped her and posted her on facebook to be networked.

The medical notes on this girl (shown below) is evidence of severe and prolonged neglect. Although an accurate history of a shelter animal is generally never known, the physical condition of an animal often points to neglect. This girl – currently named #A1693037 – was not given the attention or care she needed.

In addition to what is stated in her medical notes, she had an extremely difficult time doing something as basic as laying down. She also has a “gagging” reflex – the cause of which is unknown at this time.

Despite her pain, she never complained, never whimpered. This quiet, reserved, very sweet old-timer – sagging eyes clouded over with age – possesses a quality much deserving of a life filled with joy and love. As an elderly girl who is suffering from a myriad of issues, if she doesn’t have much life left, she deserves to leave this earth with dignity.

This innocent senior girl should have had far better care for the condition she’s in ASAP since being in there 4/18/17. It’s obvious she’s not even going to get the medical attention that she really needs and deserves being in a shelter. If someone will please rescue her and open their heart and home to her they would be saving a well deserving sweet senior dogs life. Thank you
