UPDATE: The author of this piece contacted the shelter during the writing of this piece and learned the Chihuahua who is the subject of this article is supposed to be adopted tomorrow. If the potential adopter does not show up, the little Chi has five back-ups.
Carson, Calif. – A teeny-tiny, 2-year-old Chihuahua was picked up as a stray on the streets of Los Angeles, Calif., and taken to the Carson shelter. Her physical state bespeaks that she was not properly cared for by the family who had long forgotten about her existence. It appeared as if she hadn’t eaten a good meal in quite some time, as she was in an emaciated state. Indeed, her identification collar bearing the number A5053802 could fit around a little girl’s wrist.
How this tiny girl was able to survive on the streets all by herself is a mystery.
The gals who run the facebook page, Saving Carson Shelter Dogs, took video footage of the Chihuahua shaking uncontrollably at her new address – C408, Carson ACC, 216 W Victoria St, Gardena, CA 90248. Thereafter, they posted her on their facebook page with the following plea:
This tiny girl came in emaciated and scared and she needs someone to help her feel safe and loved again. She’s in the medical building right now. Please SHARE for her life, she’s SO precious and a FOSTER or ADOPTER would save her. Thanks!
